The driver dropped me at home and picked me up when the repairs were finished 3 hours later.
It cost me just a little over half what it would have cost at the dealership, and they gave me a bottle of red wine for being a first time customer. Angelic P. Best oil change experience. Impressed by the attentiveness first class service.
German autohaus took the time to get to know me and my car. They specialize in Mercedes, a service specialist escorted me to his private office for a one on one consult, regarding maintenance for my Mercedes. Complementary car wash with service and they gave me a free bottle of wine. Stephane M. They have a nice location and I used them a few times. First it was for a few minor repairs on my BMW. They were ok, even if more expensive than other places. So either their mechanics are not competent, or they deliberately tried to cheat on me.
Paul T. I had a really great experience here! I have a Porsche Boxster that blew its oil separator. So much oil got into the engine that it went into hydro lock. Google it… Not good! I thought I killed the car. TGAH not only fixed the car but I really think they did their best to keep the cost down. It now drives perfectly and I still have money in the bank. Thanks TGAH! Nerdi G. I have had some awful experiences with auto shops and dealerships in particular.
See my previous reviews of Russel and Smith Mazda and Xsell motors. Truly awful excuses for human beings work there. I have high standards and I see nothing wrong with that. When you work as hard as I do and you spend a big chunk of your income on a car why not be treated with respect and courtesy?
I purchased a pre owned Porsche Cayman in April knowing it needed some work done on it. I was very annoyed. I was hoping to wait until August but oh well. Yes I am not making this up. Talked to someone who used to work there and he told me that dealerships are just so greedy and really do so much unnecessary work just to squeeze the customer out of a few dimes.
I believe in the road going 2 ways; help the business and the business helps the customer. Is there something wrong with that?
Anyway TGA took good care of me. Like I mentioned the previous owner did not do a good job of keeping the car in good shape. This is how it is. Check out my pictures and how much work was done. I am hoping to avoid any more huge bills but it is a Porsche! TGA even after the discounts threw in a new bottle of wine, I guess to swallow down the giant bill. I like that. And they washed and waxed my car and wheels! Ask for Matt when you go there.
He is all class and will explain and talk to you without it seeming like he is talking down to you which a lot of mechanics do. Stay classy TGA! Chris S. The team at TGA are the most honest, reliable, and reasonable repair and restoration experts in Houston. If you have a German made car, this is the place for you. They are the very very very best in Houston. Eugene K. Had a great experience with this autohaus.
Matt was professional and courteous, and my X 5 was diagnosed and fixed in no time. Appreciated the complimentary car wash as well. Warren W. I had a good experience with TGA. I brought in my diesel cayenne for an oil change and they had the correct oil for porsche diesels in stock. Having this be my first diesel, I found it quiet relieving that Matt is knowledgable in diesels. I feel comfortable in bringing my car back for the next service. Blake P. These guys are the epitome of a professional service organization.
They put their customers first, they value their employees, and their costs are very fair. I brought it into the dealership service center Advantage , bought a maintenance package, and started spending my money there. I decided to give the Texas German Autohaus guys a shot at my second opinion and was instantly converted when they delivered the results.
I have spent a dime at the dealership since my maintenance package expired and I have been incredibly pleased about that. It is also obvious that they value their employees. I just had some work done earlier this week the guy that dropped me off and picked me up from work had previously worked at the large Mercedes Benz dealership down the street.
I actually spent more money there than I would have spent at the dealership to replace my car battery. Jason H. I even asked them to drive the car like they stole it and they agreed lol. The report came back perfect via visual inspection. After I get the car I will check again and get another PPI done and update this review, but as of now 5 stars.
Nicole W. They quickly ordered the new part from Porsche, had it installed and washed it squeaky clean. I was impressed by the warmth of the staff. My husband and I met the owner, Hans, who had personally looked over my car, and were very satisfied with the job.
I called later that afternoon and it was ready to go, and again freshly washed. Hans called both my husband and I less than a week later to check on the car to see how it was doing, and to tell us thank you for the business. Sheryl D. After towing my SC several several times for the same problem, the car died on my once again. It would be fixed for about two drives. I would be able to maybe take it two places, then same problem.
As i was sitting in his office, the owner came in and congratulated him on a great month. In fact, TGA connected parts that should have not been connected to other parts!!! Like a beginner Mechanic, with no sense albeit, an ability to guess. As in, « maybe this connects to this» They do not know what they are doing. I continued to take the car because of the warranty. Texas German Auto Haus charged me to fix it and another tow! If you have lots of money to burn and want someone that does not know what they are doing and you would like for them to «practice» on your car, go for it.
Mike Callas, yes in Sealy Texas, but for the amount of money and incompetent work done by Texas German Auto Haus, I could have had all my cars problems solved to begin with.
Callas at Rennsport!
