A few times I have lucked out and gotten a code for certain movies. The passes are on a first come, first serve basis. I have heard stories of people arriving 2 hours early, seeing lines around the corner and not being able to get in.

So I suppose the best thing you can do is judge your arrival time based on how popular of a movie you suspect it will be.
