Food was delicious, the waitress was drop dead gorgeous and was very attentive. I will definitely be going back!!! Exceptional dining experience. Well worth the cost. Highly recommended. Steaks are good. Waiters and waitresses actively upsell. Waiters are authentic South Philly wise guys. Many patrons were goons wearing t-shirts and baseball hats backwards - on a Saturday night. It's a restaurant for goons and wise guys and the women who are attracted to them. I love the bathroom service attendant with the display of mints, perfume, condoms.
Our server Jordan was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and all specials. It was just a date night out for my husband and myself but she made us feel like it was a special night out. It was out first time doing here and we definitely look forward to going again. Love Del Frisco's. Service, food, wine list all great!! Thanks for making this a wonderful anniversay for us! Been to the restaurant a few times.
It has always been great all the way around. They do a excellent job here. And the food is always awesome too. My date and I shared the Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye. The taste, the tenderness of this steak was unforgettable. This was by far the BEST steak we've ever eaten. We dare say it's better than Ruth Chris as much as we love them. Not only was the food good, but our waiter, Alex Ramos, was so helpful and informative. He knew what he was talking about. Not only that, but he gave us a tour of the building telling us its history of being a bank and how everything was changed to what we see now.
Food and service were great. Ambiance was a bit ruined when we were seated all the way in the back of the restaurant when there was no crowd at all. On top of being shoved in a corner the majority of my time eating my appetizer was spent shewing away multiple gnats from my plate. If I hadn't had great service here other times I'm not sure I'd want to spend the money to come back.
Very over priced and loud! The best part of the meal was the appetizer and drinks. It was fantastic, we arrived early, and was advised they were preparing out table. We went to the bar had drinks. The bar tender was great, the drinks. When the table was ready we were escorted up stairs to out table. The hostess paid attention to the fact my girlfriend was walking with a cane and lead us to the elevator.
The service from our watiress in my opinion was second to none. Erin P was our waitress, she provided amazing service, was fun, expertly knowledgeable, and engaging. She could explain anything on the menu with superb detail. Dinner was the filet mignon, excellent flavor. The steak was accompanied by the shaved brussel sprouts superb again. Erin p brought out a set off mini deserts for is at the end celebrating an anniversary. It was probably the best dinning experience.
It was my wife's birthday. It was a great meal with wonderful service. Great for a special occasion. DelFrisco's was excellent as always. The service was attentive. Carmen, the manager, checked in with us to see how we were doing, as did another manager. We were there for our anniversary and we enjoyed everything about our meal. The restaurant is one of my favorites in Philadelphia. I don't think you can find a room much more beautiful and impressive in terms of the architecture.
Wagyu tomahawk ribeye Great server who made good recommendations! Going back in a few weeks and can't wait! Great service but really surprised at the quality is Sue's. Party of 8 and 2 of the steaks had to be sent back more than once. Never a disappointment at DelFrisco's Birthday dinner for my daughter and enjoyed all from the martinis wife and daughter love the VIP , to the appetizers and entrees always a cut above.
Only issue was the AC being a little to aggressive in our corner bearable but certainly chill some! Delicious for with a great service above and beyond ty. Long wine list. Classy service. A little pricey but overall worth it.
Great steaks. It was my boyfriend' birthday and they made him feel like a King. We love the NYC location and Philadelphia location is just as great. Although food and wine selection were excellent, the service was too slow, even with a very attentive server. There seemed to be either a lack of coordination or understaffing such that experience did not match food and wine experience, and overall expectations. I took friends of mine to the restaurant to help celebrate my birthday.
I had been there once before and I liked it and wanted to try it again. The restaurant on my prior visit was very quiet and we were pleasantly surprised at the good service. Saturday night was quite busy. Our waitperson was very social and tried to be attentive but the restaurant was busy and so her other stations needed attention and at times our wait was somewhat long.
My filet was not very good and my guest had to send back the crab cakes because they were cold. Food was great, our server was great but the hostesses were unprofessional and rude. A great meal with exceptional service. Another fantastic evening at one of Philadelphia's best. The seafood tower and filet trio never disappoint.
Food terrible … 7 of us 5 sent back meals all severely undercooked … ordered the wagyu - came out all gristle and fat - horrible cut of expensive meat - returned the whole meal …. Open Table needed to update that valet parking was not available on Monday nights.
Everything else was great. Still one of my favorite places to go to in the city top five hands down. Fantastic service and food! If you visit try the steak sampler. Absolutely wonderful service and food. Would definitely recommend for any special occasion as this is an experience restaurant! We have frequented the NYC location many times but this was our first time dining at the Philly restaurant and I so glad we did. Ben was our server and he really went above and beyond with the time and attention he paid to us.
He offered up great meal suggestions and even provided us a tour of the building after our meal. So definitely do the tour of you can. Our meals were delicious. We enjoyed fresh shrimp cocktail, caesar salad and NY Strip, seasoned to perfection. We will definitely be back and ask for you again. Wanted to try the tomohawk steak and delicious! Redder thank I would like and a tad bit fatty but over all delicious! The butter cake was everything!
The food is consistently good quality and the staff is professional and attentive and the ambience in an old Bank is very attractive. Food and drinks were good! Small portions for the sides. I got the prime ribeye medium rare and it was rare, still very delicious and very flavorful.
My lobster mac and cheese literally had zero lobster in it. My husbands had 1 chunk that he graciously split with me. Yes we get separate sides because we are foodies and come with an appetite. Not anything special but good. We split a Caesar salad which was just alright. The experience was good. Service was a bit slow.
Had to wait 20 min for them to finish cooking the rest of it. Their food quality has gone down! I normally enjoy dining at Del Frisco's. But this time I was very disappointed. Me and partner were there for our anniversary. The host and our server were very nice and friendly.
But the air conditioner seemed like it was on full blast. I was ok because I had on a long sleeved shirt. However my partner had on a short sleeved shirt and became uncomfortably cold. This was after we were seated and had already ordered our food from our server. So he put his sweat shirt on which happened to have a hood on it. While we were seated and waiting for our food one of the staff members told him that he could not wear a hoody in the restaurant.
He explained to the the staff member that he only put it on because he was cold. He also offered to tuck his hood in so nobody would see it but the staff member said "if you're cold then you'll have to order take out. The manager also told him he can't wear his hoody even if he is cold. Now I understand the dress code but the air conditioner had my partner cold and I feel that they could have accommodated him because of that.
Especially since we've been there numerous times before and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars in that restaurant. We ended up leaving there and going to Ocean Prime down the street and had a much better experience there. Again, we were very disappointed in Del Frisco's and they will never get our business again. Melt in your mouth, perfectly cooked steak. Cocktails were fantastic. Sides unique but standard potato option for picky diners would be nice. No option to remove green onions from either potato dish.
Excellent service! The ambience at the restaurant was great. The food and service was amazing. My wife and I are looking forward to going back again soon. Overall, food was very disappointing. Had been a few times before and was much better. Tuna tartare was fresh, but not tasty. Steaks lacked flavor, filet was very fatty, and sauces were terrible and served cold. Sides were good, but heavy. Our waitress was excellent. We were looking forward to a great dinner, and it missed by a mile.
Never had a bad meal or a bad drink in this place. Always outstanding!!! The food was absolutely amazing! More importantly our server Michael was excellent.
He was very personable and had a great sense of humor. When we come back I would love to request his service in advance. I had my birthday dinner there on a Saturday night and they were able to seat us 20 mins early. To start, we had the seafood tower and crispy lobster tails, both were so good!
Everyone had steak- Waygu 3oz melted in your mouth, the 45 day dry aged prime strip and prime rib was so flavorful and tender, the 24 oz Porterhouse delivered on flavor!
The wine selection is extensive so be sure to try a nice wine. We had two bottles of Montepulciano. Big shout out to Don, our server. He was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. We loved the ambiance of eating inside a former bank with the high ceiling, vault room, and pillars. Overall, we all had an amazing delicious dinner and will be back! We had a great experience at DelFriscos! The food atmosphere and service were amazing!!
Service was excellent and as usual, the food was on par with the Del Frisco brand. On a personal level I was seated in the vault in the basement. The room to be in is upstairs in the great room. That was my only disappointment. Was lovely. Will definitely go back.
