However overall i hated working at journeys.

Typical corporate retail; buy into their mentality and you'll do great. You spent more time in the store than at home. You're expected to work extreme hours and work to the bone. It's not the best place but it's probably not the worst. Cons Extreme hours, physically demanding.

A lot required of you for minimum wage. The requirements of sales goals, sock sales, accessories, and multiples is way too much for what the company is paying. Very high stakes if you do not meet your goals.

Not worth the stress for little pay. Pros Shoe Discount. Cons Low pay. Good place to work. Great pay for the work and not a stressful environment. You can listen to music while you work which makes the day easier. Share your experience Let job seekers know what it's like to work at your company. Honestly management was the biggest problem we had at my store.

The stores only care about the money it seems like. Great company, not so great pay. All of my co management team, as well as my higher up management team is insanely supportive. Everyone is always trying to help each other in any way they can. Advancement opportunities are very much achievable.

The only real downside is the pay. Great people, awful pay and benefits. I was lucky and had a wonderful manager and great coworkers, but upper management was pretty terrible and the pay was not worth it for the amount of time and energy I was expected to spend by said upper management.

I worked for the company for almost a year and never felt respected by any management other than my store manager. Pros Great coworkers, laid back environment. Cons Did not feel valued by upper management, terrible pay. I have no complaints! I'm learning new things! And since working here, I have had a major confidence boost as well as adopting new organizational habits that I use at home. I absolutely hated every second of the job, the management was so toxic and made many of the females uncomfortable.

Might be a decent job for a teenager but not ideal for long term. Pros Discounted product. Cons Short breaks, low pay, bad management, toxic environment. Jobs at Journeys. Financial News ;amp; Daily Record www.
